About New Bedford Travel Guide

The New Bedford Travel Guide is your source to discover the best of New Bedford and the South Coast. Available online and in print, the guide connects you with the area’s beaches, restaurants, shops, events, attractions, and history. The guide features eight South Coast towns:

There are many great reasons to visit New Bedford and the South Coast. New Bedford is a city in transformation with a thriving cultural center—with museums, galleries, and restaurants—growing in New Bedford’s historic downtown area. The South Coast has a rich and unique history, a wide variety of fun things to do, and many beautiful places to discover. The New Bedford Travel Guide team is passionate about the area and dedicated to sharing its treasures with you.

The New Bedford Travel Guide is produced and sponsored by Slocum Design Studio of Dartmouth, MA. President Mark Medeiros and his son Director Matt Medeiros were born and raised in the area, and along with the rest of the team, they are passionate about New Bedford and the South Coast. The team is proud to be a part of  bringing more activity to the community.

In the one year since The New Bedford Travel Guide became the first and only printed travel guide for the area, it has continued to grow. The dynamic nbtravelguide.com website has been aggressively redesigned and expanded with a cleaner interface and a variety of new features, such as the ability to create a site profile, to interact with the site content, and to create and recommend day trips. The fully-featured print edition of the travel guide circulated 45,000 copies throughout the area, and remains in high demand. The anticipated third edition will be released in the summer of 2014.

Slocum Design Studio is the area’s leading WordPress web design, inbound marketing, and SEO firm. In NBTG’s first year, Matt Neumann was the project manager, and Spectrum Marketing, printers of the Real Estate book, printed and distributed the guide.
