Thank you for your interest in the New Bedford Travel Guide (NBTG) internship. The
NBTG is dedicated to providing the local community and the seasonal tourists with an
insider’s view of all the South Coast has to offer. From reporting on sites, interviewing
contacts, covering events, writing historic content, and much more; this is a great
opportunity for you to gain experience in creative nonfiction and journalistic writing while
getting to know the South Coast communities.
First, we would like to get to know what your interests are; what makes
you want to write, what you are passionate about, and how can you relate that to the
South Coast and tourism.
Think about which genre and/or category interests you. You can
start by visiting our web site at: www.nbtravelguide.com. From there you can see
which area peaks your interest the most. That will tell you where you could focus your
contribution. Please let us know, while you are getting comfortable navigating our web
site, which areas interest you enough to write about.
We are looking for editors, writers, marketing majors, web design, and public relations students. All content submitted should be as publishable as possible or the student must utilize the Writing Center on campus before they receive credit/hours for all contributions.
Here are some helpful categories that you will also find on our web site directory:
We look forward to working with you to bring out the best that the South Coast has to offer! Join us in bringing a visitor’s travel experience to life!
